Feeling Sassy

As you can see from the picture here, I was feeling quite sassy yesterday. Too sassy for my skirts and dresses… I was ready to run around out on the town. Here I’m wearing the Gwyn sweater from MG Fashions, Strict jeans from LF Fashions, Lollie shoes from Shiny Things as well as some of Fally’s plum knit tights. The skin is custom made just for me by Tete a Pied, and the hair is Wish from Cake in currant. The determined sassy look on my face is all me though.

Want to know what I did next? More after the cut.

Primitive Design – New Find

Although the store is named Primitive Design, I see nothing primitive about the offerings there. Now I know this is not my usual style or mode of being, but I have to say, I really loved this little shop. I honestly do not remember how I ended up on the sim with this store or how I came to wander in, but I’m so glad a random shopping trip lead me to this.

The top, pants, and necklace shown here are all from Primitive Design. The top is their Wehrmacht tank which is offered in two colors, and the pants are Skulled Corpses Pants in black. Please note the pants also came with the rope attatchments on my leg and arm. And I am in love with the kitty-faced belt buckle on these. But possibly my favorite piece here is the Deathhead necklace I’m wearing. I know, I know…. I’m a bit prim to be wearing anything called “deathhead” but what can I say? The necklace comes in both a male and female version, so make sure you look around and get the right one.

This is just a small sampling of what they are offering, so if you like it stop by Primitive Design in world.

Also featured in this outfit are: Henna Pack II tattoos by Canimal, Neko Boppers shoes by TRUTH, Wish II hair in Currant by Cake, and Vivant Blush Biba 1 skin by Tete a Pied.

Weekend Roundup

Glam World openingSo this was a weekend of openings, parties, and fashion for me. First was the Adam n Eve opening I already to ya’ll about. Then I was seriously glad that I put on an appropriately fabulous outfit on Saturday morning, because I got invited to the Glam World opening. Okay okay, so lots of people got invited. But let me feel special for just a sec, will ya? Seriously though, saw a lot of old friends and familiar places and got to bump and grind with some of the best of them.

Grand Opening

City Hot!Okay, so I’m a little vain. But when I put on this outfit, I just felt like going out and doing something fabulous. It all started with the jacket from Mimikri Hot Couture. The City Cat jacket in red called to me with it’s fantastic quilted pattern. I wish I could mod the arm prims, but that wasn’t enough to stop me from wearing this jacket all over the grid. But the jacket begged for a sleek pencil skirt, and luckily for me Ingenue just released tons of pencil skirts as part of their Vintage Basics line. So I snagged a black one and kept going. Then I popped over to Shiny Things and grabbed a black snakeskin belt to polish it up. From there I added fishnet tights from Mimikri’s City Cat outfit, and the s111 Urban Black boots from Cre@ction. Top it off with the Diamond Starry Nights set from 7 Deadly Prims, and I was ready to go out on the town!

A Fashionista’s Dilemma

So, here’s some food for thought. I consider myself to be a fairly stylin’ avatar girl. I know all the hip places to shop, keep up with new releases, and am always on the lookout for cool, new, and undiscovered treasures. Plus I’m pretty easy on the eyes if I do say so myself. But I have this thing about matching. I love to match. That’s right, you heard it here first. I’m a matching whore.

But as I peruse through my favorite blogs and info, I see this trend towards mixing it up. Breaking up outfits and throwing pieces together in new and innovative ways. Now don’t get me wrong, I think these people are putting together some tres cool stuff here. Not to mention the fact that it all coordinates nicely. These are some high style folks, is what I’m saying. But must one do this to be fashionable? Is the mixing up of everything required to be a truly stylish avie?

Dutch Touch

You know, I used to be strictly a preppy sort of avatar girl. But lately I’ve been having fun experimenting with different looks and things as my mood changes. I mean after all, since there’s no limit to what I can be or the size of my virtual closet, why not right? Anyway, that’s why I decided to visit Dutch Touch after reading about it in Second Style Fashionista.

As you can clearly see, I had all the other ingredients for a perfectly edgy urban sort of look. The outfit I’m wearing here is called Holey Moe and is my favorite out of the few I grabbed. I love all the layers, and especially the stars peeking through the top.

Holey Moe from Dutch TouchFrom what I can see, the clothes are all well made and look great on. And even though the shop is very much the dark urban sort of look, I think there just might be a little something anyone can wear in there. I even picked up an outfit with an argyle sweater!

Now I choose to go the full route and throw on my neko gear as well, but this may have more to do with me liking ears and a tail than with the clothing requiring it. I think anyone would look just as hot as a human in these clothes. And I’ll be keeping an eye out for more from Dutch Touch!

Creamshop Bunny?

After listening to Episode 8 of Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara I went over to Creamshop to see what they had to offer. While the offerings were absolute adorable, they were not the style of this little avatar girl. But I wandered around and admired everything nonetheless.Creamshop Bunny and Me

While wandering through the shop I headed down a ramp and found some deer, a few mushrooms, and a charming gentleman bunny just sitting around and looking lonely. So I stopped for a quick break, hugged the bunny, and went on my merry way. Who’d have thought those were hiding down there?
